Nightjar experience with ringing demonstration

Beginning at Steeple Close, Canford Heath at 8.30pm until late. Booking is essential as numbers are very limited.

Canford Heath has a few steep paths and some uneven terrain, so a relatively good level of fitness is required to attend. However, we will walk slowly with frequent stops to look for birds.

After an hour or so we will meet members of the Stour Ringing Group and if weather conditions permit have a opportunity to see nightjars being ringed. There is a charge of £10 for adults but under 18s can attend for free. The fee will be donated to the British Trust For Ornithology.
