What our schools say…

A huge thank you for today from all of my students.

I have been around their Form Times during lunch today and they were buzzing after the Arson Courtroom Drama – loving the theatrics, laughing over each others’ performances and… discussing the heaths which is clearly the main aim!

HEAD OF YEAR, MAGNA ACADEMY

The students gained so much from the ACD lesson and have continued their talks and conversations around the dramatisation of the session.

Thank you once again and looking forward to working with you in the future.

HEAD OF SECONDARY, LIVINGSTON ACADEMY

Westmoors Middle School’s Year 7 were treated to a wonderful CSI investigation on the Heathland. The Year 7 classes got stuck into the investigation: a fire on the Heathland. The brilliant staff from the Dorset Heaths Partnership tasked the children with solving the puzzling case of the fire. With witness statements, a variety of suspects and key evidence, the children had to unravel the mystery of the fire starter. Year 7 were focused and so engaged with all the activities and loved the fingerprint analysis. They even had an opportunity to do their own fingerprints and compare it to others in the class. It was a wonderful afternoon full of serious contemplation and inked fingers. Year 7 were all successful in solving the mystery and really took in the importance of keeping the Heathland and all its creatures safe.
