Hosted by the Dorset Heaths Partnership, Dorset Dogs, and the Bird and Recreation Initiative, the Great OutDorset has been developed from previous Dorset Dogs festivals and the Heath and Harbour Hullabaloo held in Poole Park in May 2024.

Know before you go...
All the information you need for a great day at The Great OutDorset. We want to make sure that everyone attending has a safe and happy day out.
Where
The Great OutDorset is taking place from 10am to 3pm on Satruday 30 May at Upton Country Park, Poole Road, Upton, Poole BH17 7BJ. Directions to and information on Upton Country Park, including parking and access can be found here. Please note that the event is held on a grassy area where ground is undulating and uneven in places.
Eating and drinking
Refreshments will be available from concession stands, including vegetarian and vegan options. The Tea Rooms at Upton Country Park also provides food as well as ice cream. Feel free to bring your own food and soft drinks to the event, but no glass containers please. Please use the bins and recycling bins provided or take your rubbish away with you.
Please come prepared for the weather on the day. We will have water stations for our four-legged friends.
Health and Safety
We take the safety of our visitors, their dogs and the wildlife near the site seriously so that everyone is able to enjoy the event.
Take care if you drop food on the floor. Certain foods are poisonous to wildlife and dogs.
If you are feeling unwell or need medical assistance, please find a member of the Dorset Heaths Partnership Team or head to the First Aid point.
If you find a lost child, please bring them to the stand at the Fun Dog Show ring.
In the event of a fire or evacuation, please leave the site calmly at the nearest site exit.
Dogs
Please keep your dog on a short lead at all times. Dogs may be allowed off lead in designated activity areas, which will be clearly signposted – if they are, you must have a good level of recall and under effective control at all times.
Make sure you clean up after your dog and bag and bin it.
The welfare and behaviour of your dog is your responsibility at all times. Please only bring your dog if it is fit, healthy and happy in busy environments. Please do not attend if your dog is in season.
Dogs should wear a collar or harness with an ID tag.
Taking part in any of the dog activities is at your own risk.

Urban Displays will be bringing their high-energy, extreme mountain bike show to The Great OutDorset. With feats that require incredible balance, accuracy, and according to themselves, an element of crazy, you will surely not want to miss out on these incredibly talented, creative, and daring individuals show off their skills.

Adventure Pirate
Based in Poole, Adventure Pirate offers a wide range of exciting and unique activities for all ages. This includes survival and bushcraft parties, archery, camping, treasure hunts, and so much more. They even have nerf parties on their awesome onsite arena!
Adventure Pirate will be bringing their axe throwing activity to The Great OutDorset, so make sure you get involved in this unique opportunity to try it out!

AKA Combat Sports
A Poole-based martial arts club, AKA offer training in a range of combat sports from fully qualified coaches, including karate, kickboxing, and boxing.
They will be demonstrating their skills with a kickboxing display at The Great OutDorset, so don’t miss out on these amazing professionals showing their skill, agility, and endurance.
