UHP WILDLIFE Heathland Reptiles Grass Snake Credit Howard Inns @arc-trust.org

Guided walk with ARC

Join one of ARC’s Dorset field officers on Creech as we explore the vast heath here in search of all six native reptiles. We’ll be visiting ponds and bogs along the way looking for amphibians and dragonflies, and hoping for glimpses of hobbies and other birds of prey, as well as who knows what else! If its out there… it’ll be on Creech.

Meet at the small layby (on left) and gate to the Icen Pond entrance of Creech Heath (arriving from Wareham, go past the Springfield hotel and under the railway bridge on Grange Road and continue for around 1/2 mile).

Some of the terrain can be quite challenging as they are not well established footpaths. Sturdy footwear and long trousers recommended. Suggested donation £4.
