BioBlitz at Upton Country Park

Discover the wildlife on your doorstep at the Upton Country Park citizen science Winter BioBlitz Day!

We will be taking the day to record as many of the plants and animals in the Country Park as we can, and we need your help!

Join experts from the RSPB and discover the importance of our shoreline, take some time and join in the Upton Country Park bird count. Get stuck in with a bit of pond dipping, find out how to measure a tree and discover the world of minibeasts with the UCP Team. You can also pick up spotter guides and get stuck in with something crafty!

The Urban Heaths Partnership will also be there, along with Dorset Dogs and Dorset Wildlife Trust, so be sure to pop over to the their stands for a chat and craft activity.

Free event, open to all, no experience necessary, bring your binoculars if you have them!
