A Dorset Christmas Festival: Pull a Pine at RSPB Arne
While we love trees, they can be damaging to heathlands. With pine and silver birch seeding quickly, they can block sunlight and push out heathland wildlife as they grow, such as sand lizards, smooth snakes, Dartford warblers, nightjars, and more species that rely on our rare and special heaths.
By taking part in “Pull a Pine”, you can both help protect our wonderful heathlands, and take home a Christmas tree!
There will be live music, Christmas craft stalls, with locally made artisan and festive items for you to browse at your leisure, as well as carol singing and delicious festive foods.
