Woodland Clan sculpture trail

Follow the sculpture trail around Thorncombe Wood and Black Heath.

Free leaflets are available in the visitor centre. Follow the trail through the reserve to discover the characters of the book ‘The Woodland Clan’ and find out about their uprising that awakens the big foots (adults) and small foots (children) to the impact they have on the natural world. Open daily until the end of September.

‘The Woodland Clan’ is a story set in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. The animal sculptures are made of willow and wire and at each sculpture there is a chalk board describing some of the character’s traits.
